Today, Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) and Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) released the following statement condemning the Trump Administration's decision to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 263,000 Salvadorans living in the United States after previously revoking TPS for 59,000 Haitians, 1000 Sudanese, and 2,500 Nicaraguans.

Today, Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) and Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) reacted to the Federal Communications Commission's reversal of the 2015 Open Internet Order, which enshrined the policy of "net neutrality" into law and prevented large corporate internet service providers from throttling internet speeds, favoring or blocking certain types of online content, or engaging in other types of anti-competitive behavior. On December 12th, 28 Members of the CPC sent a letter to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai to strongly urge the Commission to reconsider repealing these critical protections. The CPC was one of the first voices to call for Title II reclassification and strong enforceable net neutrality protections in 2014.

Barbara Lee (D-CA), reacted to President Trump's decision to have the United States recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and relocate the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv, triggering domestic and international concerns for future peace negotiations in the region.

Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), sent the attached letter to the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee and the Senate Finance Committee. The letter expresses the Caucus' strong opposition to the nomination of President Trump's pharmaceutical executive nominee, Alex Azar, to be the next Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services due to ongoing state investigations into Azar's potential involvement in dangerous drug-price spikes while serving as CEO of Eli Lilly.
