Representative Chris Deluzio introduced The Public Service Worker Protection Act, which expands the Occupational Safety and Health Act to include public sector workers under its defined safety protections on the job. Currently, some public sector workers working under federal authority are protected, but there are no inherent protections for workers at state and local government agencies.
