Representative Jasmine Crockett introduced the CLEAR ID Act that prohibits DHS from using funds to carry out immigration enforcement by officers who are visibly hiding their identity or refusing to detail which agency they work for within the government. The bill prohibits wearing a mask or facial covering, using an unmarked vehicle, and failing to present a badge or wearing a uniform that represents the agency involved with the enforcement action.
The CLEAR ID Act is co-led by Representative Maxine Dexter.
